Cute Bento

After my japan trip, I have fallen in love with making cute bento & buying jap cute bento accessories.
I bot some from japan and order all the rest from this J-List website using Ah Lip's credit card. Till now, he still probing why I spend so much on these stuffs :P

Will try to make some once my stock arrives from japan.

Hokkaido & Our Twinkle ...

We are back from our two weeks hokkaido + Tokyo trip. During the trip, we missed our twinkle and keep wondering if our maid can handle this rascal well, but at the same time worrying if Twinkle can still recognise us after this two weeks' away.

When we were back, Twinkle was so excited, wagging her tail to welcome us home. She's so funny.

It has been sooooooo long since i last blog.
I have no mood to blog due to the fianacial meltdown.. sighz ..
Nowsadays, news on bank collasping is no longer something unusual..
That's sad isnt it?

For now, I just hope that compy dun take away my MVC (Monthly Variable Component). I'll be glad.

Twinkle's first swimming lesson

Yesterday we bought Twinkle for her first swimming session. Its at Club4Paw which has a nice 10m pool. Watch how fast she swam past the other...cos she cant wait to get out of the pool...hahah

D&D @ Shangri La Hotel

This year marked the 100th birthday for GE so they dun mind spending a bomb on this party. Each staff get a lucky dip for the door gift and prizes includes hotel stay, dining and shopping voucher which worth at least $50 value. You can imagine the running cost for this party as there are 90 tables in all!! Ghosh !!

I won a $50 Robinson voucher during their lucky draw and a lunch buffet @ conrad for the door gift lucky dip. Not too bad ..

Kiddy Room - Great Webbie for Baby Clothes

I have wanted to put this up long ago but lately I was too tied up with my biz trip last week and mayb another coming up for this month end. Busy Busy.

One of our close friends has set up a lovely blog to provide parents with another alternative shopping portal to get cheap and nice clothing for their little ones. Definitely a good site for those busy mommy who has no time to go shopping to shop for her kids clothing

X Ray of my teeth

Da Da ... this is a xray pics of my teeth !! Nice ?
I have been encountering toothache for the past two days so Lippy urged me to visit a dentist before it detoriate.
I visited one today and was advised to do a 3D xray to check if there 's any traces of decay. I took one and it costed me $60 for this to be taken (Ouch !! for my pocket)
After the checking, no sign of decay ( Phew !!) but need to extract my wisdom tooth from my right upper and lower jaw as u can see they are growing out of alignment. (Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! for my pocket)

Need to book an appt for this extraction but I looking for skillful dentist who can extract this painlessly .. Any recommendations ???

Happy Birthday to Ah Ma ...

We celebrated Ah Ma's 82th Birthday on last Sat at Temasek Club.
Most of us turned up and we had a great time catching up with one another.
Ah Ma was thrilled to see everyone esp her great grandchildren. Here's some pics to share on that day.

Banana-Cheese Muffins !!

Baked some muffins from my hardly used oven .. It turned out to be surprising tasty.. Here's some pics of them .. Yummy !!



Instructions to Bake delicious Banana Muffins
(1) Whisk the 100g butter + 50g sugar + 1/4 salt
(2) Swift the 250g Cake Flour + 1 tsp of Baking Powder to the mixture
(3) Add 2 Eggs into the mixture , one at a time.
(4)Add 80 g Fresh Milk and continue to whisk till the mixture is smooth
(5) Add Banana & the Cream Cheeze to the mixture
(6) Pour into the muffin cups
(7) Bake 180 degree for 35 mins

Done !!

Going KL next week

Will be flying to KL next Thursday to our Malaysia office for a day and fly back on Friday. Super short biz trip .. hee

Jz came to know that the flight journey is merely 50 mins .. OMG !!

I choose to fly earlier around 3 pm so mayb can squeeze some time to do shopping :P

Will be staying in this hotel. Looks good I hope ..

Hokkaido Trip & Dog Walk

Yes, we went to the NATA fair on last Sat. Being a KS Singaporeans, (Ya, I admit) we make extra effort to rise early to make our way to the Expo before it opens. Who knows by the time we reached there, there's a already a beeline queue that stretched all the way from the expo hall 3 to the expo MRT station. Faint .. so u can imagine how KS Singaporeans are!! Anyway, back to my holiday trip, we finally decided to travel on 6th Dec to Hokkaido coz we wanted to experience the snow .. We have planed to spend 7 Days in Hokkaido and another 2 nights in Tokyo to continue my shopping spree.

For our 2 N stay in Tokyo, bro is generous enough to give us his 2 Night hotel stay for us to use.

Hopefully, I dont overspend when there ..:P

On Sunday, we went to West Coast Park to join hundreds of dog owners for the dog walk. Papa, ma ma and sis's family were also there to join in the fun. We bought Twinkle there as well.

It was really fun esp watching Cheng Cheng being chased by the dogs .. and all of us had a great time there ... Wat a great way to spend our weekend.

Yummy Dinner

I fallen in love with aglio olio spaghetti lately and decided to whip one on Last Sat. This was the first time we tried this and it turned out to be suprisingly good. We cooked half the packet and finished them all !!


Here's the recipe if you are interested to whip one yourself
1) Cook the spag in a pot of boiling water, add 2 tsp of salt to it for approx 7~10 mins. Drained and add in 3 tbsp of oil and mix well. Set aside.
2) Stir fried the devined prawns with olive oil, chopped garlic and crushed black pepper. Set aside.
3)Stir fried the chopped garlic, mushroom, crab meat in 4 tbsp of olive oil.
4) Add in the spaghetti and prawns and mix well
5) Add in the crushed black pepper to taste.
6) Ready to serve.

GPS

A fulfilling weekend for us. We went to Carrefour to buy this new gadget- GPS system. It's really a steal at an affordable $249. (Usual Price : 299) On our way back, we couldnt resist to test it and it proved to be a useful gadget , it tells us which is the shortest route back home, nearest petrol station and even speed camera when we are near to it.

Will be useful for drivers like me who are very prone to getting lost. These days, I started to pick up driving again with the help of my very strict refresher instructor, Lippy, who else? Yesterday, I finally learnt to do reverse parking but still need more practising to master it well.

Yesterday, we saw Le Le wearing the same outfit as my Ah Food so I insist to take a photo of them as a memento. Cute !!

Back to School

Yesterday, we attended our very first japanese lesson at Bunka language School. Evon and I took up the elementary 1 class, hoping to pick up some basic japanese languages. The class turned out to be quite fun, and our teacher is a japanese.
But somehow, whenever I opened my mouth to speak japanese, the class will burst out laughing.. I wonder why ??

Ah Lip instructed me to learn well so we can use it on our next jap trip. :)

Treats for Twinkle

We bought some treats for Twinkle, these are used to teach her tricks and to bahave.
She loved them so much and behaved well when she sees us holding the treats.
We also bot her a new pee pen and she's smart enough to know that she should pee and poo in it.
