Macarons ....

Macarons Anyone ? I bot the ones from Gobi & it was the best I have tasted.

It jz taste so heavenly that you cant possibly stop at one. Err.. but may abit too sweet for some ppl. Anyway, def good food to savour especially during this christmas season.

Besides macarons, they also have lovingly crafted cakes & patries package for Baby's First Month. So nice & special ... For those Mums To Be, this is another cool option.

Insomnia.. Ghrugh !!

Damn !! I suffered from insomnia again yesterday. Was tossing left & right until I finally dozed off after a very loooooong time.. This always happened on Sunday night in particular, guess I'm suffered from PMBS (Pre Monday Blue Symptom) Sighz..

Anyway, I signed up for dessert making class which will commerce in coming Tues, so will be sharing more recipe online again.

For those who like ice cream, there's a very nice ice cream parlour to recommend. Its located in the Sunset Way, called the "The Double Scoop". The ice cream served are cheap($2.90 per scoop) & favourful, esp the durian one made from freshest real durians!! You 'll never regret after trying it!!

Lastly, jz got my travel voucher for my Bintan Angsana trip. Yahoo, all set to go!!

To Believe or Not ?

Over here, we have some really interesting colleagues who always there to share with us their "extraordinary" experiences.

Yesterday, during our usual causal chat, one of them told us, her sister brought home a huge monitor lizard to keep as pet. The interesting juices of this is she did not choose to put it in a cage. Instead, she hung it over her shoulder & took a MRT back home !!

Not sure to believe him but let's jz take this for real, Isn't that farking funny ?
Ha Ha Ha Ha ha
Imagine you took the same train with her & you turned around to spot a monitor lizard staring at you from her shoulder. Whoa ha ha ha ha ha . The thought of that is enough to make my hairs stand !!!!

Anyway, in the end, that pet was there in his garden for few days before they sent it away. Besides this, she also kept a back widow spider & a frog which look like a pancake as pets. What a special gal !! Ha ha ha ha

Dad's Birthday

On last Sun, we held a simple dinner to mark Daddy's 60th birthday. Bro has chosen a nice secluded resturant for this occassion. That night, we were well entertained by our dancer ~ Xiao CC . Here's some pics of him juggling his moves.

Sometimes, things don't turn out the way we want. It hurts when we felt betrayed but we tell ourselves that's not the end of the world. We grieve but we move on at the same time. Through this, We learnt to grow stronger & braver. We,friends, will be there for you whenever you need.

Holiday for me ?

I applied 2 days leave during the two Dec holidays to make up a 6 days of long break coz I needed a holiday badly.

The good news is my boss was kind enough to approve my leave though I am only 2 mths with the company. But the bad news is holiday-ing during that super peak period is damn blardy expensive that both of us think it may not be that wise to travel at this period. A 4D3N Bali trip easily costs up to over 1K pax on budget airline !! Holy craps !!

Thus, we are looking for alternative getaways which
1) Has to be out of this damn island - Dun tell me to go to Sentosa.
2) Not so expensive - Ya lah not so possible I know
3) A place to relax, rejuvenate & chill out
4) With Sea view
5) Can do Spa
6) Do not need to travel by air as most probably, getting a air ticket at this time will be either blardy expensive or no vacancy or those from listed clashed Airlines !

Anyone got any suggestions, pls let me know !!

NewsFlash: Osim Corporate Triathlon 2007

I was there on last Sat to witness Ah Lip in this race. This time, he took part in the Corporate Relay Sprint category representing ExxonMobil. Needless to say, he was doing the bike category as he cannot swim fast enough to qualify for the swim category.

That day, I was appointed as ALPP (Ah Lip's Personal Photographer) to capture Ah Lip in action !!

At the end of the race, Ah Lip's team finished off as Second, but the trio did not stay back for the prize ceremony as they thought they came in as 4th. Anyway, it doesn't matter also coz I doubt they are giving any prize money for the winners or maybe a Osim foot massager ?? Dream on ..

My Aching Back ..

Ouch !!! I had been suffered from a backache for the past weeks and I blame it on my desk bound job.

On last friday, it hurted so badly that my intuition was telling me to do something about it before my whole back breaks into two like Kit Kat !! So, I asked around my colleagues for any good recommendation on massage.

This is the one they recommended, Oriental Traditional Therapy

From the name, you could have guessed that its orgin from China. They simply called it "Tui Na" rather than massage.

Thoughout the whole session, the only word that I keeping mumbling to my masseur was "Tong" "Tong " "Tong" (Pain).

And expectedly, my whole back was covering with bruises on the next day but my backache had recovered miraculously so the 1 hour of torturing was worth it !!

Try it !! They are only charging for $45 for an hour of Tui Na. The place is at Club Street which is jz a corner from Maxwell Market. At this price, dont expect that place to be posh.

Things can never be better !!

These days I am happier, thanks to this job. They are so much "goods" about this job that I felt things can never be better !! Here are some of them to share,

Cheap & Yummy Food
I am now working in the central area of all cheap food centers. They are some to name, Hong Lim Food Center, Maxwell Food Center, Golden Shoe Food Center. They served all the award winning food with a mere $2!! With $4, you can get to savour a plateful of delicious crayfish ipoh hor fun, what's more can you ask for ? Yummy !!

No More Long Queue to take Shuttle Bus to Suntec
My new office area is jz a 10 mins brisk walk from Raffles Plc MRT station. Though I have to work 30 mins earlier but I jz need to wake up 5 mins earlier that I used to. Definitely shorter travelling time as now, I'm no longer required to queue for that dreadful shuttle bus to Suntec.

Healthy Lifestyle
My gym center is jz a stone away from my work place which mean I will not miss my combat class again. Thus, a healthier lifestyle.

Acceptable Workload
So far, workload here has been acceptable. No more do I require to do those bloody hell shit work & the best part, I do not need to face Bulldog anymore. Glee Glee Glee!!

Nice colleagues
After I joined here, my white elephant PSP started to go alive again as the colleagues here are all hard core gamers. This has also turned me into one.

Less stressful Enviroment
I am no longer on 24 by 7 standby which is a great relief for me mentally. Now, I'm no longer getting nuisance calls from Bulldog during my vacation, asking me whether did this user complain to you on her slow computer? No more ridiculous nonsenses from Bulldog !! Ya Hooooo !!!

There are more, jz that I can't list EVERYTHING here. In short, Life is Great here !!

We are 1 Year Older

Yes, I celebrated my 19th birthday yesterday. Muack! Muack!
We dined in Sushi Tei, (my 5th time in this month !!)went shopping at citilink & bought this lovely cake. Yes, a simple celebration but that's enough & most importantly, I have enjoyed it.

Besides that, I was touched by the number of sms-es I received yesterday on the birthday wishes. Thanks for remembering that !! coz I can never remember my friends' birthday (Ops!)

I got myself this BIG birthday cake for my birthday tomorrow.
Time flies, but this year I have my little nephew, Xiao CC, to celebrate this day together with me. Jz that he is more fortunate as his mommy and daddy are bringing him to a one day excursion to Zoo.

For me, I will be stuck in office, maybe will catch a dinner with Ah Lip after work. Looking at the bright side, I am happier this year coz I got myself a better job which I enjoyed each day.

Not much happenings these days, except that we are hooked with one of those PSP Games, NeoPets. That has become our daily dosage before bedtime.

Back from Redang

Ya ha! We are back from our Redang trip, the beach is so mesmerizing that Ah Lip refused to come back. To prove that we are not lying, here are some pics to vouch for my words

A pics of us during snorkeling, enjoying the sea & fishes that swam so near to us. One fish actually took a bite on my finger coz it happily mistaken my finger for it's food!! God Damn !!

Ah Food Part 2

Remember the Ah food's phone strap that I wanted to get? Yes, I managed to order it online via this website. Beside Ah food products, you can also buy totoro stuffs via this site. However, I'm not sure how reliable this site is but decided to give it a try since I wanted it so badly. Will update all once I received it !

These days, I am happier & so my persistent cough finally recovered. Yupee !!

Also, Ah Lip and I got hooked with Sushi Tei so I decided to get their card to enjoy the 10% discount.

Ai yo, TCS serials are going down from bad to worst man. U know I never support any of their serials but yest ma insisted that she wanted to watch it so I joined in. To my horror, jz a mere 10 mins into the show, I decided to call it a quit. Another piece of Junk show !! I jz hope TCS dun export this show to other countries, else they will be laughing their heads off by looking at the quatity of show we produced in Singapore. It's a National Disgrace !!
Senseless Storyline + Poor acting = A BIG BIG BOOOOOOO !!!!

Siloso & Ah Food

Ya Ya .. we are jz back from the Siloso resort stay. Hum this is my rating for the resort.
Room: **
Facilities : * (Basically, No facility at all)
so I will give a thumb down on this resort, Booooo.....

My fav Ah Food is back to hit the Mu-Ee shop & when I saw it at the vivio city, I jz go hysteric & bot everything I can find on Ah food in the shop without even looked at the price tag. In the end, the total bill came up to over $90 for all these ah food products. (luckily, my banker was with me at the cashier, hee)
So u can imagine how much ah food meant to me ..
